Hey! I am exactly one week away from taking my Series 63 exam and am looking for any advice on how I can best make use of this last week. I feel well prepared (98% confidence meter & 16 practice exams taken) but I also have found a slow fatigue beginning in taking exams/reading the questions. Not sure if there is any specific approach recommended for these next seven days or if I should just continue doing what I’ve been doing, thanks!
@MiJBo24 your stats are incredible (98% confidence meter and 16 practice exams) is admirable. I commend you on your dedication. One thing to keep in mind is to not burn yourself out. The best thing I could recommend is to understand the key factor for the Series 63, which is to approach the exam with the basic premise that you are testing for the role of an agent so think about what you can and cannot do under the state laws. This should help you tie the concepts together and go into the exam with some clarity.
Avoid burning yourself out, tie the concepts together, approach the exam for the role and not just memorization, skip long worded questions during the exam so you can save yourself time, try and finish with at least 10 minutes remaining so you can review your answers. Get plenty of sleep the night before, eat a brain healthy meal so you can be laser focused and get to the test center early so you are calm before the exam. Best of luck!
@MiJBo24 Yes, I really like what @Maryann_Sipes said. You’re going into this exam well-prepared, with your readiness now at 100%. Make sure you understand the concepts behind the questions, since the exam will test the same concepts in different ways. I also like the advice about being mentally prepared. A good chunk of this exam comes down to mindset, so being in a good headspace when you sit down for it really does make a difference.
You got this!

Agreed. I felt super confident about this exam the day before (nervous, but confident), and I failed.
I didn’t get great sleep the night before and actually had some really bad dreams, so my mindset the day of wasn’t great. Of course I had the bad dreams the night before (usually have great dreams!).
While taking the exam, I found the questions rather difficult, but didn’t feel like I was going to fail.
I guess that’s why they call this exam tricky.
Good luck with your exam, and please let us know your personal experience about how it went/questions/etc!
You got this!
Thank you! I will let you all know how it goes! @Mataia @Andrew_K @Maryann_Sipes
Your stats are incredible. Just re-read the material that is heavily weighted and you should be fine. Check out page 6 of this guide from NASAA: https://www.nasaa.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/NASAA-Series-63-Exam-Study-Guide.pdf
