Hi, I just passed SIE, and Series 66, I am studying for series 7 now. Is there any way to show textbook material that is explicitly different or additional to SIE/s66. It would help me to not re-read stuff I already know and also potentially avoid confusion
Hi @Hubert_Casper, Congratulations on passing the SIE and Series 66, and good luck with the Series 7!
At the moment, we don’t have a way to highlight only the material that’s new compared to the SIE or Series 66. The Series 7 builds on those exams and goes into much greater depth in areas like options, municipal securities, debt securities, margin, trading and order execution, customer accounts, taxation, and new issues.
To help you focus on what needs the most attention, you have a couple of options:
Option 1: Follow the study plan, but skip what you already know. Enter your exam date and use the daily study plan as a diagnostic guide. If a section looks familiar, go straight to the quiz. If you score 70% or higher, move on to the next section. If you score below 70%, review that section in the textbook before retaking the quiz.
Option 2: Start with a timed practice exam and work backward. Take a full practice exam under real exam conditions while everything is still fresh from the Series 66. Afterward, use the Exam Summary to identify your weakest areas, then go directly to those textbook sections and review them in depth before taking another practice exam. Repeat this process until you’re scoring consistently in the mid to upper 80s.
