Providing some feedback to give others some more data points. Total study time 36 hours over a one month period, most of my readiness indicators were above 80% and the overall readiness was 90%. The full length practice exams ranged from about 73-80%…they were harder and way trickier than the actual tests I took. I also took the one free sample exam on FINRA’s website and scored a 91 on that. I have years of personal investing experience and a good working knowledge of finance and how markets work, but have never worked in the industry.
My overall impression is that Achievable is excellent. It’s extremely thorough and really pushes you to understand the material deeply. Many of the Achievable questions are intentionally tricky and confusing. The actual SIE testing questions were difficult, but straightforward. When I was done, I had to time to go through the 29 questions I flagged (I flagged a Q even if there was just a 1% change I was wrong). After going through all the flagged questions i went through all 80 questions one more time, and counted 17 questions that I wasn’t 100% sure on…many of them I was 75%. I realized at that point, I had passed just based on the math with 14 mins left. Glad that’s over…now time to start prepping for the Series 7.
