SIE Help Boost Scores

My SIE exam is in two weeks. My practice test scores started in the low to mid-60s, but after focusing on my weak areas, I’ve been consistently scoring 73, 71, and 73. While these are passing scores, I want to reach the high 70s to low 80s by next week to give me more confidence. I have a solid understanding of all topics but feel like I could go deeper into each section. I’ve read the entire book, and my company provided Pass Perfect materials, where I scored a 68 and a 72 on two of their tests. Any tips or advice on how to refine my study approach would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, @Roberto_Hamill. Good job scoring in the 70s on your recent exams; I have reviewed your study progress and have some feedback to help you get your scores up and help you as you continue to study!

Firstly, you are taking your full-length exams too quickly. It is important to treat the full-length practice exams like the actual exams. This means taking your time and ensuring you understand the question thoroughly and the possible answer choices. After you complete a practice exam, it is essential that you then spend a significant amount of time reviewing the exam, going slowly through each question and explanation. This will help you identify areas of weakness and ensure you understand the areas in which you are strong. After reviewing your exam, the next step would be to revisit the areas of weakness in the textbook and to take the relevant quizzes. Repeat this process and you will slowly increase your exam scores and confidence in understanding the material.

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to study. Thank you,
-Brenden
