I’m 6 days out from my SIE test and I just scored a 91 on my Achievable Full Mock Exam, my readiness score is at an 88. I would like to get that readiness score up however should I start taking full exams now from my Kaplan Qbank to kind of switch things up and get my brain prepared to see different wording? I was thinking of hopping between Kaplan and Achievable full exams, I know Kaplan is more difficult but I’ve taken almost 4,000 quiz questions on Achievable and I’m afraid my brain is starting to memorize questions, as much as I do try and use the concepts, logic and reasoning to answer the questions. Any insight would be great! Thanks
You are in a good position. An 88 readiness score and a 91 on your last exam are where you want to be 6 days out. That said, I do see an exam score of 76 right before it, so while the jump is great, I would like to see a bit more consistency on a few more exams before sitting for the real exam.
Focus on taking full exams under real exam conditions: one sitting, within the time limit, no pauses, no referencing the material. Try to consistently score in the mid to upper 80s on a few more exams. Achievable is designed to be a comprehensive course that covers everything you need to pass the exam, so additional materials are not necessary. If you do choose to use them, just keep the focus on understanding the underlying concepts.
After each exam, spend time reviewing weak areas before jumping into the next one. Focus on the underlying concepts, not just the right answer, but understanding why the other choices are wrong. The exam may use different wording, but it tests the same concepts.
Good morning! Thank you for your insight and tips during my preparation for the SIE exam, I wound up passing on my first go and am very relieved! I definitely want to go with Achievable for my Series 7 as I felt like the readings were very engaging! I was wondering if there are any discount codes you could provide me before I make the purchase? TIA
