Series 66 or 65, which is better?

I thought I could give advice with the series 66 if I already had my series 6 and SIE licenses? Am I wrong with this? IF so I should of picked the series 65 to study for!!!

The Series 66 only works if you also have the Series 7. Having the Series 6 + SIE isn’t enough to pair with it, so the 66 wouldn’t qualify you to give investment advice in that situation.

If you want to become an Investment Adviser Representative (IAR), the Series 65 could be a better choice. It stands alone and doesn’t require any other licenses. Series 6 + SIE can be useful for selling certain products, but it doesn’t combine with the 66.
