Series 65 study time

How much study time does the series 65 take for one that has their IRS Enrolled Agent license?

Hi @Nick_Hilll, thank you for reaching out. On average, students spend about 75 hours studying for the Series 65 in our course, though this varies widely depending on background.

Your Enrolled Agent license will give you a head start on tax topics such as investment taxation, retirement accounts, and estate and gift tax. However, most of the exam covers other areas, including investment products, economics, portfolio management, and securities laws and ethics.

That said, there’s no set number of hours you need to hit. It takes as long as it takes; work through the material at your own pace and spend as much time as you need to learn it well. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to support you as you study.

Thank you,
Mataia
