I passed the SIE and Series 6 on my first attempt. However, I took the Series 63 yesterday and failed. I earned a 68%; missed it by two questions. Thankfully, I’m still in the game. In one month, I will re-test. I’m not going to give up. I have to keep pushing
Hi @askforchristian, I am happy to hear you passed both the SIE and the Series 6! Failing the Series 63 can be disappointing, but I appreciate your outlook and agree that pushing through and working hard will get you to passing! You got this! If you have any questions as you study, feel free to reach out, and we’ll be happy to help! Thank you!
Hope it works out better for you the 2nd time.
I quite honestly think FINRA has caught on to Achievable and every other prep company’s materials and intentionally made it harder to weed out the people who are just going through the ropes without being intuitive. I’m starting to think the 90%+ pass rates advertised by Achievable and others (Kaplan, STC, the rest) are falling into the 80%s now.
We’re a bit overdue for a full statistical confidence analysis and a refresh of our stats, but even just doing some quick math, it’s clear we’re still at 95%+ first-time pass rates for all our courses.
That said, it does seem like the exams are getting a bit harder/deeper over time.
My Series 63 second attempt is approaching; September 9. I’m feeling excited, and I feel prepared. Excitement is a good thing because that’s how I felt going in to take the series 6, and I passed the 6 on my first attempt. I’m at 96% overall score. I can’t let my guard down though. I’m going to take advantage of each day before exam day.
