Passed the SIE on the First Try

I passed the exam on the first try with about 50 hours of studying Achievable’s material. I tried STC and found it dull and boring and very difficult to keep on top of. I was recommended Achievable and decided to go ahead and try it out. I tried the free version and ended up purchasing the full material. I highly recommend setting a future test date and then going by the schedule they provide. What I did was crammed all the material watched the videos on double speed and took tons and tons of practice exams. I went back through and focused my practice questions on topics I didn’t understand by using the customize option. As I reviewed both the exams and quizzes I noted heavily and made up funny words and phrases to remember things. For coupon rate for instance I said “noupon rate” that way I could remember nominal = coupon rate. FOCUS ON THE EXAM READINESS. Mine ended the day before at a 96% and I was pleased to find that the exam was easier than I expected because of heavy preparation. On the day of the exam, dress nice, eat breakfast (when debating on whether to eat breakfast my wife said “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”), and walk in their like the financial expert you are. Confidence is key. Flag anything you absolutely don’t know and answer everything you’re confident on. At the end go back through take one last guess on the ones you flagged and send it! You got this. This is just the beginning of an amazing career!
