Passed the SIE this AM. <whew!> I think I used up all but about 15 minutes of the time allotted. There were several questions I had to read several times due to unfamiliar words/wording and on top of that I just went slow and made sure I was reading everything. I wish FINRA gave you above target/target/needs improvement on the test areas the way PMI does on their tests but as long as I saw that “PASS” - I was very relieved.
A funny thing happened… (sort of) - throughout my studying… the one topic I just could NEVER wrap my head around was the alpha/beta thing. I tried & tried but it just would NOT stick. So toward the end I just guessed those on my practice exams with the thought that if it showed up on the test… I’d just guess/risk that one question. & my other thought was… it just seemed so obscure (like I don’t recall it really in the STC course & never saw a Kaplan Daily question on it…) what were the odds that it would show up on MY particular test. Well… question # 5… was, you guessed it… a beta question.

Anyway… Achievable was a great tool. I was sitting at a 96% exam readiness score and most of my practice exams were in the mid 80’s - I made it through 27 of them. I truly appreciate the responsiveness to my questions. It was much more accessible/easy to learn from than other sources. I also used the podcasts & videos which were helpful. I’m very glad I took a chance & purchased access. It got me motivated to finally finish the SIE - something I’d been dallying with/putting off for quite a while! Thank you! On to the 99!.
