Good afternoon everyone.
My name is Romaliss Lewis. I bought this program in hopes of passing the Series SIE exam 4 months ago. The reason being is because I want to start my own investment company. Thanks to Achievable (and everyone associated with the program) you have helped me achieve my goal. Yesterday, I was scheduled to take my exam. In all honesty, I didn’t fill to confident in the beginning and middle of the exam. But the moment, I clicked the finish button. I saw the result, which it said, “PASS”. I was in disbelief at first because I thought I was hallucinating or visualizing what I wanted to see after finishing the test. But I got the results sent to me by FINRA and sure enough it said pass on there.
Thank you everyone for providing the necessary tools to help me pass this exam. I didn’t use any other program out there except for yours. I loved the explanations, quizzes, practice exams, and chapter readings. Those definitely helped me out for the exam. In addition, I would advise everyone to not memorize the answers to the questions. But rather, memorize the concepts and the way the questions are being asked. For the actual exam, the wording/phrases of the questions and answers are different from what Achievable has for their question/answer bank.
My study routine was to read the entire book chapters first, then I started to take the practice quizzes for each chapter. For the questions that I missed, I would write down the question and the explanation for why the answer was the correct answer. And try to figure out why I missed the question. Furthermore, if I didn’t understand or see a question before. I would also write down the question and explanation of the answer even if I got the question right.
With all of the notes that I took, I made 4 different piles of all of my notes and try to study them throughout the day. The reason why I didn’t want to study all of my notes in one sitting is because it would take over 3 hours to finish everything that I took notes on. (Trust me, I only know this because I did it for a full week. But I quickly realized, I had to change my study habits to get a better understanding of the material if I wanted to pass this exam). As a result, making me more mentally fatigued and forgetful. I would study the 4 piles of notes everyday, until the day before I had to take the exam. Because by this point, I believed I had the concepts well memorized. My only concern was what the exam would be asking me. It’s just as this program says, the actual exam has 85 questions (which 10 of the 85 questions are experimental questions for FINRA and you don’t know which questions are experimental or not) on there. Which they can test you over 3,000+ subtopics of what you learned in those 85 questions. The only way to overcome this in my opinion is to take as many full practice SIE exams and re-read the same if not all of the chapters that you’re not confident with as much as possible. Before I took the actual exam, I took 11 full practice SIE exams scoring from low/mid/high 80s. My exam readiness score was 98 out of 100. I think with the full exams and the practice chapter exams combined, I had answered over 1,700+ questions. Which gave me a buffer or a chance to pass the exam with the knowledge I gained from answering that many questions.
To add on to this, I’m not sure if I can show you my result from what FINRA sent me. But I’ll be attaching my result just so everyone can see what it looks like (Inspiration/Motivation). I don’t know the actual score I made, but I do have the PASS result that FINRA gave me.
In conclusion, I think everyone/anyone has what it takes to pass this exam. Just take your time and read every answer and question carefully before answering. And I promise you that you’ll pass the exam.
