Achievable’s exam wording was nothing like the test and the things it focused on may not have helped me as well as it did with the SIE if it were the first exam I was taking. They did not focus enough on minute aspects of the ADV, customer interactions (not suitability) just interactions in general, brochure requirements etc.
No finance background. If it were not for their SIE prep which was amazing, praying to Jesus, Kaplan’s Q bank, reddit and Series7guru YouTube videos, and the fact I’m a good test taker I could’ve failed this test.
You can use Achievable alone for the SIE and pass, in my opinion it is difficult to do that with the series 65.
I just bought the series 63 with you guys today because I love your simple wording and your SIE prep was amazing but I won’t be comfortable without the Q bank as the test wording and question diversity is more in line with the actual test.
Another poster said all this more eloquently than me and I thought he was ungrateful. Keep in mind what’s being said on both posts:
ETA: I’ve edited my post because I initially said ERISA 202 c wasn’t there and there was no comparison of time weighted vs IRR vs inflation weighted provided in the prep when there was enough information provided for me to do my own comparison.
“Provides liability shield to plan fiduciaries if certain protocols are followed:
Make proper plan disclosures
Offer at least three investment choices
Allow quarterly investment portfolio changes”
Achievable has an entire page dedicated to IRR. It includes all the information you need to know about IRR and more. Their section on all of the returns associated with portfolio performance measures is very comprehensive.
Congratulations on passing your Series 65! That is a huge accomplishment. Passing on the first try is always the goal, and your success shows that our materials work; the proof is in the result.
The goal is for our users to pass with a reasonable amount of studying, not to master every point of minute trivia. We’re proud of our 95%+ first-time pass rate and that we build our courses directly from FINRA/NASAA’s official content outlines, which we review constantly and update hundreds of times each month. We stand by the quality of our materials, and our 95%+ first-time pass rate backs that up.
You mentioned several topics, and here’s where they appear in our materials:
