Would an investment adviser rep be considered and agent? Why or why not? I’m thinking it would be but I just watched a video and stated an IAR is not an agent and now im confused.

An agent is an individual who represents a broker dealer (person)
An investment advisor representative is an individual who represents an investment adviser (person)
