First SIE attempt

Passed today on my first try! The achievable program helped me greatly. I started on Kaplan and just could not grasp the first few sections for some reason. After moving to achievable, I progressed quicker and retained more information, I did still use the Kaplan Q bank for extra questions. I was wondering what my next steps should be, as I do not have employment that will sponsor a series 7 exam. If I decided to do the 66, would I be able to apply the unused portion I paid for on my SIE exam prep to that? Thank you so much for this resource and the support along the way.

Congrats on passing your SIE - I’m glad you enjoyed Achievable!

The next steps really depend on your career goals. Now that you have your SIE, I’d encourage you to apply for jobs. If you’re looking to get a head start on licensing in wealth management, the S7 is really the next step; it basically covers the same topics as the SIE, but in more detail. The S66 is a good addition and you can take it on your own to get a leg up, but from a regulatory standpoint, it doesn’t offer value on its own. Alternatively, you could go for the S65 and then the S63, which might be more helpful if you aren’t sure about taking the S7.

Although study timelines do vary greatly, most people complete their courses within a few months - we just like to provide a year of access so there’s no time pressure in case life gets in the way. You’ll need to purchase the others separately, as they have different content, and your purchase really is for the course materials, not the time.
