Hi @Lila_Wintheiser, thank you for reaching out, and sorry the material has felt confusing so far. The Series 63 includes many legal terms and definitions, so it can feel dense at first.
Plenty of students have passed with Achievable. These two recent posts are worth a read:
- Series 63 passed on my first attempt: passed using only Achievable, with good tips on pacing and focusing on ethics and registration topics.
- 2nd attempt at Series 63, passed: good advice on what to expect on the real exam.
A few tips that help with the confusing parts:
- Go one chapter at a time. Read the chapter, take the quiz right after, and aim for 70% or higher before moving on.
- Read the explanation for every question you miss. That’s where most concepts click.
- Pay close attention to definitions (agent, broker-dealer, investment adviser, IAR). A lot of the exam comes down to knowing who is who.
As for adding another question bank, that’s up to you. Some students like extra practice, but you can pass with Achievable on its own if you work through the material and practice exams.
If there are specific topics that aren’t clicking, let us know using the feedback icon in the material, and we’re happy to help!
