Failed my SIE by 5% I got a 65% Need help

Hello all, I just took my exam today and got a 65%. I am extremely angry at myself for being stupid because I failed by 4-5 questions. I did see a few questions in which I have never seen on the achievable material such as “churring” and something else about “subscriptions” also the stock split question I got, the answers were like "Billy now owns two thirds more than the prior position before the split, and the price is up two fifth’s or down I don’t even know. This question really threw me off and actually made me so frustrated because it was like question 2. I get how to do stock split questions but the numbers I got I just could not throw with the answers given since they were all worded in fractions instead of “130 shares at x price now”. Anyways what should I do? I plan on taking it right away so I think I have to wait 30 days.

Should I be studying today and everyday after that? or take a break for x days. I am just so angry at myself for coming so close but so far. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Also is there anyway I could get my subscription on here “extended or reset” it ends on the 21st of this month.

Hi @Cary_Parisian, I’m sorry to hear you failed. I took a look at your study progress and have some feedback.

You took many full-length practice exams but took many of them too quickly, some in just ~30 mins. It’s important to treat them like the actual exam and take your time to ensure you understand each question and the possible answer choices. After you take each practice exam, you should spend a significant amount of time reviewing the exam by going through each question and explanation to see your areas of weakness and strength. Then, you can revisit those specific areas in the textbook, reread them, and take the relevant quizzes until you understand better.

For your current situation, I recommend doing what I outline above for one full-length practice exam and seeing which areas you need to focus the most on this next go-around. Some of the unfamiliar terms you mentioned may be part of the experimental questions. We make hundreds of monthly updates to our materials to ensure we are up-to-date and accurate for the exam. I am unfamiliar with “churring” but it is possible the word was churning, which is the prohibited action of when a representative trades excessively in a customer’s account in order to enrich themselves.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to support you. Thank you,
-Brenden
