I’m not an english native speaker and when I read questions, I need to circle the key words of the questions or answers. Can I do it during the real exam of SIE ? I guess it’s a exam on computer rather than the paper exam right ?
Unfortunately, the actual FINRA test software is very limited and pretty clunky to use. You have the ability to flag questions for review, but can’t mark them up in other ways.
I’m glad you brought up how “clunky” the software is. Is FINRA going to address this at some point? It’s like the old DOS-based systems. I also would remind candidates to speak up if they sit down in front of the computer and discover, as I did, that the screen resolution is wrong. The text was fuzzy and out of proportion because the screen wasn’t set on the proper setting.

FINRA seems motivated to continually improve their exams, and in particular, making them more relevant and related to job responsibilities.
I’d assume that their exam platform is something provided by a specific vendor, and improving/switching it up would be a large undertaking… so I wouldn’t expect any major updates soon.
