After SIE login fail in finpro

I passed my SIE today or atleast thats what prometric said after i exit out of exam. What comes after this? I am not sponsored by a firm. I remember creating finra gateway but finpro i cant log in (keeps saying cant find my registration or something). How would i have a proof of pass? Should i be worried because my results dont exist any where now or am i fine? Any suggestion or guidance will be greatly appreciated. I will be buying s63 from achievable too because i passed sie only by studying via achievable materials. But before i buy s63 and sit fornit i want to fix this problem

Hi @Nirvaan_Khadka,

Congrats on passing the SIE! The printout from Prometric is your immediate proof, and your results are already sent to FINRA. Once your record syncs in FinPro you will see the SIE listed there. The error you are seeing when trying to log in just means the record has not fully updated yet. This is normal and usually resolves within a few business days.

There is no need to worry. Your SIE pass is valid for four years even without firm sponsorship. If it still does not appear after a week or two, you can call FINRA Candidate Services to confirm.

You are also correct that the Series 63 does not require sponsorship, so you can register through FINRA’s Test Enrollment Services System whenever you are ready. For now, just keep your Prometric printout and your results will appear in FinPro soon.

Best,
Mataia

Hi. Thank you for your response. I am nearly done with my 63 as well. I decided to go back and see if i could log in on fin pro but i cant. It tells me no registration is found. Is it because i am not registered as i dont have a firm backing me? I was just trying to check my score as i have already given more than 2 weeks for it to sync but I still cant log in on Finpro. Appreciate your response earlier. Is it of concern and should i contact FINRA?

Hi @Nirvaan_Khadka,

That’s great to hear you’re almost done with your Series 63! I appreciate you checking back in. I may have misspoken earlier when I mentioned that your SIE results would appear in FinPro. Since you’re not currently sponsored by a firm, you won’t have an active registration there. FinPro is only for individuals who are registered or affiliated with a FINRA-member firm.

Your SIE pass is still completely valid and safely stored in FINRA’s system for four years, even though you can’t view it in FinPro. There’s no issue with your record, and no need to worry. If you’d like direct confirmation, you can contact FINRA Candidate Services, they’re the best source for this information and can verify your record directly.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you,
Mataia
