any advice ? this is my 3rd attempt

Negotiable and Redeemable Securities.

I understand that negotiable is when an investor trades with another investor and a redeemable security is one that is offered from an issuer directly to the investor. My question lies with the NAV of a mutual fund. If Fidelity is the “company” that I am investing in, (them as the issuer), do they then invest in negotiable securities as a part of running their business? or do they also obtain redeemable securities from the companies they invest in. Also, regarding the NAV, are the assets and liabilities used for the calculation based on that individual fund or fidelity as a whole.
