Would I still be subject to the 180-day waiting period?

I am taking the SIE on the 14th and this will be my 3rd attempt. The last time I took the exam was about 10 months ago. Although, I am studying as much as I can and hoping for the best, if I don’t pass, will I still have to wait the 180 days before I can try again?

Thanks

Hi @Anthony1 - yes, I believe that is the case.

Here’s a snippet from FINRA’s SIE Exam and Exam Restructuring Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

The waiting period for the SIE is the same as that for FINRA’s other exams. After the first and second failed attempts, there is a 30-day waiting period. After the third failed attempt, there is a 180-day waiting period. For any attempts after the third attempt, there is also a 180-day waiting period between each exam attempt.
