Thoughts after passing the 7

I just passed the series 7! i wanted to give some helpful tips. KNOW THE CONCEPTS!!! there were alot of options questions but what shocked me the most were there were alot of FINRA law questions or a lot of if this happened how long does the client have to submit paperwork etc… like, alot!

Also, you WILL NOT get questions like you got in the qbank. that being said, if you understand the concepts and the laws then what will happen is you will pass. i read ALL material, and videos and multiple tests. I would tell you all to KNOW YOUR STUFF!

I am very grateful to Achievable. I wish you guys knew how hard it was for me to pass this test in the past.

ONE TIP: your anxiety is REALLY high in the beginning of the test. i was able to finish the test with an hour left. I got up, went to bathroom. did some breathing exercises and went back throuh the beginning of the test! and ended up changing answers (for the better, i had calmed down and understood what the question was asking)

Hope this helps!

Thanks achievable team,

Tony

I couldn’t agree with you more. You MUST understand the concepts for the 7. I passed mine last Friday. I panicked the night before because I couldn’t remember anything for my dump sheet. And guess what? It didn’t make a difference (in my case at least).
This test really tested my true understanding of the material. I used my calculator MAYBE twice.

Congrats! You’re correct…slowing down, reading the question, and making sure you know what they are asking are so so important. I am preparing for my 66 and I STILL find myself not reading the full question, or rushing to an answer without reading all of the choices and I miss easy questions when practicing. It’s so annoying. lol

I would also add this to everyone’s great tips – in the questions that have a paragraph with lots of sentences and with lots of information (some info probably not pertinent), read the actual question first (the last sentence in the paragraph) before you get bogged down in information that may not applicable to what they are looking for. That helped me in many questions that were structured like that on all of the tests I have taken and passed (SIE, 7, 66 & 50).
