Hello everyone. I have been considering more lately to study for the SIE. Although, my background is not directly in banking, I am currently a compliance auditor where I conduct audits on entities receiving funds from the government. I investigate/review the payee’s financial records thoroughly. After reviewing various videos, I was suggested to come here to Achievable’s. Do you think that this is a good step into expanding my financial review career? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hi, taking the SIE is a great idea for anyone interested in a career in finance, even if you aren’t directly interested in the wealth management side of things. The SIE is “a mile wide and an inch deep” - it’s meant to give you a solid overview across a wide range of topics. It’s great to expand your knowledge, and employers definitely view it as a plus. It shows you’re interested in the content, are a go-getter who takes initiative, and maybe even most importantly, that you can pass these licensing exams.
Thank you for this information. I feel a lot better. I really appreciate it.
I think you will be glad to have the SIE and Achievable is a great way to study. I’ve used the materials for the SIE, 7 and 63 and passed all 3 on first attempt. My background is not in finance, but i have an MBA.
how long did you study for the sie exam vs the 7 series exam?
