Why can shareholders vote for stock splits but not for stock dividends if they essentially have the same effect on the price per share?

Hi @Mass_coffee_louse. It’s kind of a “it is what it is” thing. No good reason that’s worth pointing out. Both accomplish the same thing, but only one requires approval.
