Can anyone share any feedback on experiences taking a Prometric test using their remote proctor software?
I took my SIE online and it was pretty smooth.
I’d just encourage you to ensure you meet all their rules to the letter:
- Install and test the exam software now
- Prepare your documents the day before
- Have a clear, enclosed testing space
- Ensure you have no distractions
- Be silent and focused during the exam
I have a habit of talking out loud to myself as I think, and they warned me that if I continued to do it, they would cancel my exam person_shrugging: Otherwise, it was a normal experience.
I’m her husband. She’s taking the SIE only because I’m making her do it to experience what I had to go through.
Because of that, we rescheduled her to do it in-classroom at Prometric.
I need to call FINRA to see if I can get a refund on the first $80 I spent on her online test which she never took.
She has no plans to go into the financial industry, but she’s taking it for fun (more my amusement). She’s studying for it too, using the Achievable license I got her as supplementary material.
Who knows? Maybe one day we’ll end up as a husband and wife team.
