I am new to finance formally, but think of myself as a quick-learner, highly analytical. Would it be recommended that in preparing for the SIE, I just read the achievable textbook without note-taking? I am currently taking notes and it is extending the amount of study time by at least double if I just read through. Thank you for any insights!
Whether you take notes or not is very much an individual preference. Personally, I find it to be most effective to carefully read the chapter, focusing on the information without taking notes, and then stay focused and take the quiz at the end. At that point if there is some information that I feel isn’t sticking, I might take brief notes on it to help solidify the info.
