Hello Justin

The y intercept will be in range between 12 and 14. considering slope is between (-1,-2/3) . The range will always be greater than 12. Why then is the data given insufficient the correct answer for this question.

Hi, you’re right that the Quantity A, the y-intercept, will be in the range of [12, 14].

Since Quantity B is 12, this means:

- If Quantity A is 12, it would be equal to B
- If Quantity A is 14, it would be greater than B

Since it will not be greater than B in all cases, we can’t determine the relationship and the answer is D.
