Greetings Mataia, I passed the SIE exam on Wednesday 10/15. What would be my next steps, do I need to register it with FINRA?

You don’t need to register your SIE with FINRA yourself. The SIE is a core knowledge exam and remains valid for 4 years. You’ll only become registered with FINRA after you’re sponsored by a broker-dealer, who will file your Form U4 and link your SIE results to your record.
If you want to move forward independently, you can take the Series 65, 63, or 66 exams without sponsorship.
However, the Series 7, 6, and 9 (and similar representative-level exams) require sponsorship from a FINRA-member firm.
