Passed my series 7

Thank you Achievable! I passed my Series 7. I used Kaplan in previous years and I found Achievables textbook and explanations to be more comprehensive. I love the videos and for anyone else studying, I’d highly recommend spending more time understanding the key concepts to each subject matter. When taking practice exams, work on test taking skills and ask yourself, “what is this question asking?” The exam is built to try and throw you off your game because it wants you to know (with distractors) what rule/regulations they are referencing.

When you take practice tests, I suggest filtering to the “all time” review summary for previous exams taken and see what sections your struggling with most. From there, go back to the the text book and reread those sections to gain a better understanding of the subject matter. Keep doing this until you start to see your scores increase. As far as exam taking, work on process of elimination (i.e. write out ABCD on a piece of paper and cross out all the wrong answers you see). On my S7, I was able to knock out at least 2 questions on each questions, so that left me a 50/50 chance on getting the question right. Last thing… DON’T CHANGE YOUR ANSWERS!!!

Achievable, I recommend focusing more on debt securities and rules/regulations. I saw very few questions on common stock. I’d maybe update the dump sheet with T+1 for settlement and also provide a better overview of how to utilize the quiz and exam summary breakdowns. We see the “Last 7 Days,” “Last Month,” and “All Time” summaries but when it gets closer to the exam, it’s harder to know which one to use as a reference point because they all show different areas of strength. Great tool. We just need to know how to use it.

Thanks again for everything and so glad I crossed this stage in my licensing journey!

Congrats on passing your S7, and thanks for letting us know!

I appreciate the feedback, and I’ll discuss it with the team. Btw, we actually have revamped our dump sheets recently to make them more print-friendly, as well as to reflect the T+1 settlement timeline.
