Passed Life & Health Insurance Exam

Hello everyone! My name is Romaliss Lewis. I wanted to notify the Achievable Team and everyone else that I passed my Life and Health Insurance License Exam today on my first try. I bought the achievable program back in late July of this year and stopped studying in late September just to give an ideal of how long I studied for the exam. (2 months basically).

I have to give a big shoutout to Achievable. I love the way they structured their study material. From the textbook, quizzes, practice exams. Everything in the life and health insurance study program was very digestable and easy to understand. I have to confess, the topics/exam weren’t that hard to learn at all. Only because of my background knowledge, experience, and test taking skills that I acquired while taking the Series SIE, Series 65 exams. The only part I kinda had a hard time comprehending was the health insurance part of the exam. Only because the health portion was foreign to me. But with time, consistency, and hard work was I able to fully understand the health insurance section.

I’ll start breaking down my study habits. I started by reading the entire textbook, while taking notes along side the book as well. Then I took all of the quizzes. Afterwards, I started to take the practice exams. Admittedly, I only took 5 practice exams in total because by that point I had a good grasp on majority of the concepts by then. I made a 77% on my first practice exam, making me have high confidence for when I would take the real test. After the first practice exam, my scores only went up from there. I had a 91% out of 100% readiness score before taking the actual exam. The only outside study material I used, was a YouTube Channel by the name of: “The Insurance Queen”. I watched a lot of their videos to bridge the gap from my lack of understanding health insurance. Which in the end it definitely paid off.

The exam itself had 150 questions consisting of life and health insurance questions. My exam had 10 additional experimental questions making a total of 160 questions in the end. To be frank, the actual exam wasn’t hard at all. The Achievable program quizzes/practice exam questions were very similar to the actual exam itself. So I would have full complete trust in the Achievable study material to pass your exam.

In summary, I can’t thank Achievable enough for helping me come out on top for passing my exam. As always, I’ll be attaching my study notes and pass result with this post. I hope with what I shared will help you ace your life and health insurance exam.

@Ricardo_King Congratulations, Romaliss! Thank you for taking the time to let us know and write a detailed breakdown. Your study approach is a great roadmap for others: reading the full textbook, working through all the quizzes, and then moving on to practice exams. It’s also great to hear how your SIE and Series 65 experience carried over, and how you stuck with the health insurance material until it clicked.

Thanks as well for sharing your notes and results. We know they’ll help other students preparing for their exams. Congrats again, and best of luck with the next step in your career!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. Admittedly, this will be my last licensing exam I’ll take. I’ll be focusing on getting the proper experience in the investment advisor industry to see what I can do with what I have obtained.
