Hi, I’m getting very bogged down in the options section for my SIE studying. Any strategies on where to focus there? I know that it has not been a significant part of some of the practice exams.

Hey @Mike_McDermott, the general concepts are options are certainly tested on the SIE, and if you continue on to the S7, you’ll dive much deeper into complex strategies. Options tend to be one of the more challenging topics for everyone, so don’t worry. The best thing to do is just to take your time going through the material and gain a fundamental understanding of how they work. Don’t try to simply memorize formulas - that’s a trap.
Once you do get a solid understanding of options, you’ll love these questions! Whereas many questions tend to involve some level of interpretation, options questions become very straightforward and will basically be free points.
