Hi! I reviewed your account, and it looks like you’re on the right track, but still have some work to do.

Final A and Final B are the same questions every time, so your score on the first take is the best indicator. The Full exam is randomized, so each score there is an accurate estimate of your score on exam day. Given your scores so far, it looks like you’re right on the edge and could benefit from additional practice exams and careful review.

You’ve been going through the exams extremely fast, often in less than half the time. Make sure to slow down and thoughtfully approach the question and choices every time; you want to ensure you’re considering the concepts and actually thinking through them rather than jumping to a choice that seems familiar.

Similarly, make sure to spend at least and hour or two reviewing every exam! Taking the exams identifies weak areas, but it’s the focused review afterward that will help you master the material and ensure you get other questions on it right in the future.

So, first up: review your past exams carefully! After that, take a few more, slowly and thoughtfully, and review those too. Continue until you’re consistently passing!

Hi @Kristie_Koepp, I reviewed your study progress and have some feedback.

It looks like you have taken two more full-length practice exams. Like Justin, I recommend slowing down and making sure you understand what each question is asking and the possible answer choices. You are still taking the exams in less than half the time.

Keep spending time reviewing your exams after you take them! This is where students will see the most significant jumps in their learning and confidence. Once you discover your primary areas of weakness, I recommend revisiting those textbook sections to ensure you understand them.

Repeat this process and continue to take full-length exams until you consistently pass. Remember to take your time! If you go too quickly, you are likely noticing patterns and not truly comprehending each question and concept.

Thank you,
-Brenden

So i took another practice exam today, my readiness was 89% before this, i got 83% in my last exam and that was the highest I’ve ever gotten, and my readiness dropped to 88 !! why is that ?

Hi @Kristie_Koepp, readiness is a complex calculation that considers many elements of your study history. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand why it changes, but it is a very accurate guide.

In this particular case, your 83% score on the full exam was lower than the 87% and 79% you scored on the Finals, so your readiness decreased.

As you’re in this final stage of preparing, I have two major recommendations:

  • Slow down as you take your exams, carefully considering all elements of the question and choices before you answer
  • Review every exam carefully, going through question by question and focusing on what you missed or guessed. Revisit the textbook as needed to ensure you thoroughly understand why you got the question wrong to ensure you will get it correct next time, even if you see it in a different context

If you study in this way, I’m sure you’ll see consistent increases in your exam scores and readiness!
