Retired Professor Emeritus. I was a 34-year business management professor and worked in employee benefits/compensation management in the private sector prior to that. I love investing as a serious hobby and now work part-time (on my own time schedule!) in retirement for a financial advisor for intrinsic reasons. Think I missed the intellectual stimulation and sense of doing something worthwhile that traditional retirement does not offer. My boss recently talked me into taking the Series 65 saying, “you can do more, but need to be licensed. You might as well do the work you enjoy doing and get credit for it”. Though unexpected, I seem to have a third career! The good news is that Roth contributions may continue! Love being retired and in charge of my time.
