Suggestion: Audio option of textbook

Is there any talk about adding an audio version of the textbook? I have a terrible disability that makes it incredibly difficult for me to read and understand the textbook. It took me 4 hours to get through a “15 minute read”. I’m afraid that I won’t get everything finished in time for my exam.

We make updates to our courses constantly, often multiple times per day. Any fixed media versions of the course, whether that’s audio or just a printed textbook, quickly become outdated, which is why we focus on the online versions.

We have looked at integrating read-aloud software into the site, and it’s a possibility. But actually, the read-aloud software already built into iOS and Android does a surprisingly great job, so building our own hasn’t been a priority.

Here are some links if you’d like to give it a try!

And Microsoft Edge does an amazing job with its Read Aloud feature. I use it every day while I am reading the material.

Thanks for the tip @Nutritious_rose_bovi, I’ve just added it to our materials!
